Purple Transferware Staffordshire Plate Valencia
A hard to find Staffordshire pattern decorated with purple transfer which some may mistakenly call flow mulberry. The plate features a romantic vignette of a man and woman courting in a deep bowl, with scalloped rim having reserves of castles and flowers.
The back stamp is Valencia in a cartouche. We would date this plate to c. 1830 give or take.
Diameter is 10 1/2"
Condition is very to excellent. No damage and quite clean.
