Wedgwood Caneware Batchelor's Teapot

A diminutive, Wedgwood Caneware Bachelor’s Teapot with molded basket weave decoration and a sheaf of wheat finial and foliated handle. An applied strap handle permits carriage of the pot. The teapot is glazed with a yellow-maize ground.
Condition is "As is" meaning that it has suffered damage in its 220 year life. The handle was cracked in 3 places and somewhat amateurishly repaired. The lid is damaged in two places - under the rim and inside lip, all of which we show in the pictures. The main body is in excellent condition including the spout.
The underside is marked Wedgwood.
The teapot measures shy of 7" wide.
We estimate date of manufacture to c. 1800.
