Currier and Ives occasionally documented overseas locations, especially England and Ireland which at this time were part of the United Kingdom. Ireland would have made an ideal subject for a lithograph since US population of Ireland was burgeoning. This vignette captures the confluence of the Rivers Avonbeg, Avonmore, and Avoca.

The artist and publisher have taken care to document the real places of this scene such as Shelton Abbey, the Woods of Glenart, and County Wicklow. The overlooking castle caps the majesty of the serene place.

The colorist has taken great care with this print which is small folio sized. It is an authentic Currier and Ives print made by the legendary print maker.

Condition is very good to excellent as seen inside of the matting and shrink wrap.

This print is enjoyable for the history, people, and scenery of a beautiful country.
