Amberina glass has been popular since its introduction in 1883, but most of the examples seen on the market were made after its heyday in the late 19th C. and are thus not period pieces. This pitcher is an original blown amberina product made in the period. It has a dot optic pattern. The bulbous base narrows to a broad cranberry red neck. The reeded handle is applied. Its pleasing colors make it decorative and could even be used as a vase.
Dimensions: 7.25" w, 6.5" d, 9" h
The vase is in excellent condition though the glass has impurities and or defects typical of the period.
