Decoration engraved on the blade of florals in a circle with a lakeside scene and the mountains in the background. Marked with Watts mark of a horse head over a chevron, Sterling, James Watts in script and S with a lion passant on each side for George Sharp. Columbian Exposition Sterling Teaspoon, dated 1893. Columbus at the top of the handle over Christopher Columbus. In the owl, Columbus is pointing out land to his men and 1492 at the tip. Back of handle has Columbus' sailing ship over flowers and an anchor with a shell where the handle joins the bowl. Engraved initials EMC and 1893. Marked with a four-leaf clover and Sterling and Tilden & Thurber Co., which was the retailer in Providence, RI. 6 inches.
