Two albumen photographs of the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Dualah at Agra, India. Neither is signed and though they are probably by different photographers they complement each other as one is a close up of the tomb while the other gives it some context in the surrounding garden.
The longer view is 8 5/8 (22 cm) by 11 3/8 (29 cm) inches with a card 14 (35.5 cm) by 17 (43 cm) inches. It is laid down to the cardboard.
The close up is attached to a larger piece of paper with a line of glue at the top. It is 8 1/8 (20.5 cm) by 10 ¾ (27.5 cm) inches. The paper is 10 ¼ (26 cm) by 13 (33 cm) inches.
Condition. The longer view is a good print though perhaps a little light in tone. It has some foxing in the sky surface scuffing and a few black spots. The mount is soiled and rough at the corners.
The close up view shows very good contrast. It has a few minor wrinkles where the glue edge attaches to the paper and the movement of the image has caused a few small creases.
