Neither is marked, but the distinctive border of twined dolphins alternating with a large plant (?) is a Spode design. A pair of “King’s pattern” heavy porcelain dinner plates with underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt decoration. This pattern was an Imari pattern that acquired the “King” name. Both are marked with impressed, “DERBY” under a crown. Both also have red interlaced Ds below a crown. A blue and white hand painted Canton oval serving dish with a rain cloud border under stars and an outward turned rim decorated with lines of rain. The interior with the usual Canton scene including bridge, pagodas, sailboats and islands in the distance. A Sevres salad bowl with lobed and slightly ruffled edge in the “feuille de choux” pattern decorated with sprigs of flowers in the bowl and the outside with the raised pattern outlined in blue and gilt. The interlaced “L”s enclose the letter “K” for the date 1763. The four dots in an angled square are the painter’s mark. The inside of the foot rim has the hole from firing. The bowl is approx.. 2 95 cm) inches tall and 8 5/8 (22 cm) inches diameter.

An elaborately painted and gilt cabinet cup and saucer depicting St. Stephan cathedral in Vienna. The painting is delicate and the tiny figures are from the 19th century. The gilding is both flat and raised. The saucer is 5 ¼ inch diameter (13.5cm). The cup is 2 3/8 inches tall (6.5 cm).

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The only wear is very slightly to the raised ovals on the saucer, probably from the base of the cup rubbing there.

A very nicely molded Leeds creamware plate with underglaze blue decoration of an oriental man standing beside a low fence holding a parasol in one hand and pointing with his other while the birds fly in the sky beyond. Impressed mark that reads, “EDS*POTTERY.” 9 ¼ inches diameter (23.5 cm).

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs. The glaze is crackled and feels slightly rough on the back.

A quatrefoil sugar bowl, cover and stand all with floral decoration. The cover with a plum like fruit and leaf finial. Both the stand and the cover have painted dark purple rims. Both the stand and the bowl are marked with incised, “DV”. The stand has no punctuation and the bowl has a period after each letter. The stand is approx. 8 ½ by 7 inches (22 x 18 cm) and the sugar bowl with cover is 4 inches tall, 6 ½ inches long and 5 inched wide (10.5 x 17 x 13 cm).

The vases, English from circa 1850, sit on a rococo style attached base with light blue and gilt molded leaves for the base of a fluted and molded vase with a flaring and serrated top rim. The molded flowers are painted in bright enamels. The porcelain is bright white. Both have a sticky label on the underside for the Hackman Collection with the Number,”80” presumably an inventory number. They are 6 inches tall and 4 inches at the widest.

A Chinese thinly potted porcelain saucer dish with underglaze cobalt decoration. The central decoration of plants and grasses rising from rocks is surrounded by a two part border of different leaves of water plants. The flared upper rim is molded and the outer edge lobed. On the back in underglaze blue are two trailing plants. 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall and 5 inches (12.5 cm) diameter.

A low covered pot with jug ear handles of tin glazed earthenware with underglaze blue decoration on either side and on the top depicting a house near water. These pots were used for soft cheese, sort of like cottage cheese if I understand correctly. The top is loose fitting but the raised lip of the pot fits into a channel in the top. 4 ¼ inches tall by 8 inches across handles. (10 x 20 cm).

A floral decorated milk jug and floral decorated cover with a rose and leaves finial. The potting of the jug is fairly heavy at the bottom, the decoration of a fairly elaborate boquet and a simpler one on the other side is complimented by the yellow painted rims and decoration on the handle. Vincennes and Sevres had a monopoly on using gilt decoration so that other French factories had to use paint where they might have used gilding. Height approx. 5 ¾ inches. A well potted round covered box with underglaze blue decoration and extensive gilt outlining of the pattern of a bird in a bush. The Meissen crossed swords mark on the bottom is typical of the late 19th century. There is also in underglaze blue the number 46, which is probably the identification of the painter of the scene. Height 2 ½ inches, diameter 3 ½ inches (6 by 9 centimeters).

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very slight gilding wear.

A pair of dry drug jars decorated with blue leaves top and bottom and the drug name in the middle, all over a light grayish blue glaze. This form is typical of the 18th century Italian drug jars. The hand throwing on a wheel is evident on the glazed interior of both jars. 7 ¼ inches tall and 4 ¾ inches diameter, (18.5 cm tall, 12 cm diameter).

Condition; Both have chips on the base and roughness from throwing on the mouth. Both have later marking on the base with a magic marker.

A pair of candlesticks with a dark blue ground decorated with gilt insects and raised beaded rings. Though unmarked this is a color and decoration that was made by Masons from about 1815 to 1825. 8 inches tall and 5 inches diameter at the base. (20 cm tall and 13 cm diameter at base).

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Gilding wear around edges and some scratches around the base, probably from scraping off wax.

A molded roughly round stoneware small tureen with attached under tray, elaborate lid with finial and simple ladle. All transfer printed with blue floral sprays enhanced with overglaze enamels. The spoon with an additional transfer of water and a plant in the bowl. The lid and tureen with gilt highlights especially on the rams head cornucopia finial. The edge of the lid gadrooned, the handles with leaf decoration and the base with more gadrooning and small flat handles.

The transfer surrounded by a brown/red raised band then hand painted purple flowers, green leaves, and red buds.
