An oval English porcelain sugar bowl with the lid and body decorated with blue and magenta bell flowers growing out of gilt plants. The flowers circle both the lid and the body, which has molded ring handles (not working) at the end of the long sides. The knop on the lid is elaborately gilt. Unmarked, but certainly English and from the first quarter of the 19th century. 6 inches tall by 6 inches long by 5 inches wide.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

A pair of hand painted English porcelain dessert serving dishes, probably Spode, lozenge shaped with lobes and decorated with floral sprays and sprigs in bright colors with gilt scalloped border and gilt floral design in the apexes. No marks on the base, but this form with the elegant gilding in the apexes is ascribed to Spode and from early in the 19th century. Length 10 ¼, width 7 ¼ and height 2 inches.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Almost no wear.

A molded edge porcelain dessert serving dish, Spode circa 1814 with bat transferred fruit in the center. Pattern number 1686 hand painted on the bottom. Unmarked, but the distinctive border of twined dolphins alternating with a large plant (?) is a Spode design. The pattern of fruits is currently made by Spode and called “Chatham.” The border is set off with a band of gilding at the rim and the inside edge. The bat transfer is an unusual color, almost brown at some angles and gold at others...

A group of five small pottery figures, four of people and one of a very smush faced lion. All painted in what look like both overglaze and underglaze colors. This type of figure was two part molded and produced in quantity. The tallest is 5 inches tall. These figures date to the first quarter of the 19th century.

Condition: All have some chips and the man with his head leaning on one hand has had the base repaired.

A very nicely painted Pratt Ware cottage decorated with a blue tiled roof, children at the windows with an oversize female standing beside it. On one end of the cottage is a woman with a cornucopia (?) and on the other a flowering tree. At the back in the roof is a slot for large pennies. The colors are well applied. Three plates with a blind molded basket weave border and swirled ribs the way Coalport molded plates in the early part of the 19th century. The hand painted flowers in a central bouquet and four single flowers on the lip are very much in the early Coalport style. The plates are 9 ¼ inches (23.5 cm) in diameter.

A high quality porcelain deep sided saucer decorated with an untied bouquet of flowers slightly off center and two small blossoms on either side of the bouquet. The underside inside the foot is impressed with the Nymphenburg mark, the letter “K” and the fraction “1/7”. The saucer is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips cracks hairlines or repairs. Some very light scratching on the inside of the saucer and a couple of very minor firing flaws.

A powder blue ground cup with elaborate gilding and two reserved oval panels on opposite sides with a spray of European flowers. Unusual for Chinese Export porcelain the two panels are recess molded. Other examples of this period exist with molding in the body, this ground and elaborate gilding. The inspiration is European, probably German, perhaps Meissen. The cup is 2 inches (5 cm) tall and 3 ½ inches (9 cm) diameter.

Both with marks that are loosely painted in undergaze blue that more or less resemble the crossed torches that are the registered mark for the Locre factory, also known as La Courtille.
