Leon Dolice American (1892-1960) etching printed in green of Washington Square Park in the Village in New York city. Signed in pencil lower right, “Dolice” and located in pencil lower left, “Washington Square N.Y.” Good crisp print, overall size 13 1/8 by 9 5/8 inches. The image 11 by 8 inches. Including mat 15 7/8 bb 12 3/8. The website for this artist lists the print as done in 1932.
Condition: No tears, but it has light mat burn and more seriously has been laid down on grey cardboard and the old mat was glued to the margins of the print so there is some glue residue on the edges. Now in acid free mat and backing.
Strong image of a piece of Greenwich Village.
