A group of three engravings probably by Johannas and Raphael Sadeler of Christian anchorites or hermits. The prints are after Maartin De Vos. These images were widely circulated in the early 17th century and printed and re-engraved by engravers other than the Sadelers. Interestingly of the three in this group two have no title, though they are trimmed right to the image and perhaps the title was removed. All three are laid down on early laid paper card, with the colorful surrounds painted adjacent to the prints. The card for all three is 9 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches (23.5 x 27.5 cm).
Condition: generally good, though trimmed to the image and laid down they are sharp images. The one with its title looks a little faded. All now in acid free mats and mounted on acid free foam core.
