A pair of elaborate porcelain vases with large leaves in turquoise and gilt opening from a narrow base which rests on four wide feet. The base and feet encrusted with vegetation and occasional flowers which also support a large rising stem on either side with roses on one side and blue, orange garden flowers and possibly small lilies on the other side. Hard to imagine putting flowers that wouldn’t clash into these vases. Height 7 3/8 inches (19 cm), width 6 ¼ inches (16 cm) and depth 5 inches (10.8 cm). Both signed Coalport in underglaze blue.
Condition: no chips cracks, hairlines or repairs. There is a little bit of loss to the overglaze turquoise enamel and a few of the flowers have lost parts of petals.
