14k yellow gold with a platinum top, this exquisite Edwardian period butterfly is made of Old Mine Cut and Old European Cut diamonds. There is a pin back and also a loop on each of its wings so it can be worn as a pendant. Overall it measures approximately 1 3/8" long and 1 15/16" at its widest.
The white diamonds creating the wings measure approximately 1.92 cttw. The four champagne diamonds on the wings measure approximately .64 cttw. There are two rubies making up the eyes. The body consists of three larger diamonds. The champagne diamond at the top measures approximately .53 ct. The smaller of the two white diamonds measures approximately .40 ct. The largest old mine cut diamond measures approximately 1.66 ct. For a grand total weight of 5.15 cttw.
The diamonds are all of nice color and clarity. The white ones are all well matched. It is beautifully made and in excellent condition.
