A late Ming Dynasty, most probably Jiajing period dish with a very rare underglaze cobalt blue decoration of Kui Xing, the God of Literature. The cobalt blue is excellent. The body of the bowl is covered with a thick greenish-creamy-grey glaze whose surface appears like old polished marble. The crackles in the glaze are very attractive. Most probably Ming Dynasty, sixteenth century or earlier. Diameter : 14,6 cm. H : 7,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.

A very nice and rare Ming Dynasty Yongle period ( 1403 - 1425 ) bowl , decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a Lotus design. Jingdezhen ware. Diameter : 9,9 cm. H : 5,4 cm. Condition: Very nice glaze. There is a crack from the rim downwards, visible to the inside,(from the outside nearly invisible to the naked eye.)

Very well and thinly potted , moulded body and finely decorated with the best kind of deep Kangxi cobalt blue. The base marked with a Kangxi Lingzhi Fungus mark and of the period ( 1662 – 1722 ) Diameter : 20,6 cm. Condition : Very good condition with an excellent glossy glaze. Some extremely minute fritting, nearly invisible to the naked eye and which only can be found by a very very close examination of the lobed rim.

A nearly Imperial quality piece. Ming Chengua period ( 1465 - 1487 ) decorated with " Ruyi " scroll. Extremely well potted body, a wonderful very white silky glaze and exclusively painted in the for Chenghua tylical watery blue. The rim covered with solid gold with a solid golden lid. Diameter : 9 cm. H : 7,5 cm. without lid. ( With lid : 9,2 cm. ) Condition : All visible parts of the porcelain body are in a absolutely perfect condition.

A large Ming Dynasty dish, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with floral scrolls and a Chrysanthemum to the center. Pieces of this kind were found at the LENA SHOAL JUNK. Such pieces are also to find in the Topkapi Museum and in some other excellent collections. Ming Dynasty,Hongzhi period 1488 - 1505. Diameter : 25,8 cm. Mid to late ( sixteenth century ) Ming period. Jingdezhen ware in an extremely rare shape. There are some few Thai browh glazed stoneware pieces in a quite similar shape, but a Chinese Jingdezhen blue and white piece in this shape seems to be never recorded so far. H : 8,3 cm. Condition : Perfect. Some glaze degradation at the under part of the piece, but no chip and no crack.

Wanli Period ( 1573 - 1620 ) Excavated in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Chinese porcelain kendi, deriving from a Middle Eastern form, were made in several animal forms in the Ming dynasty, including frog. H: 22,3 cm. B : 12,4 cm. L : 18,5 Condition : No crack, no chip to the body but some glaze fritting which however is typical for such kind of ware.

A marked, very fragile, well potted bowl and since this piece fortunately does not comes from the sea resp. from a ship wreck the condition of the glaze and therefore also the Cobalt blue of this piece is very nice. Ming Dynasty Jiajing period ( 1522 - 1566 ) Jingdezhen ware. Diameter : 10,2 cm. H : 5,3 cm. Condition : Very good with a wonderful bell like sound when tapped. Some very minute glaze fritting to the rim.

A lovely and very decorative pair of Celadon glazed vases with a very nice molded floral decoration. Nice colour of the Celadon glaze. Longquan ware, Yuan Dynasty. ( Please compare the vases with the vases shown at GG - Art, Yuan page 40 ) Provenance : Old German collecion. There are remains of a old paper sticker to the base of one of the pieces. H : 11,8 cm. Condition : Very nice condition. One piece has a single insignificant firing crack to the glaze ( not to the body )
