This marked, rare, fish decorated bowl comes from an old German colletion. The condition of the glaze of the bowl is so perfect and glossy that it simply is impossible that this bowl is an excavated piece. The glaze of this bowl is so much better than the glaze of excavated pieces so that this bowl must be an rare unearthed piece which already in very early times - maybe hundreds of years ago - came to Europe.
Ming Dynasty, Jiajing - Wanli period ( 1522 - 1620 ) . Excellent thinly potted porcelain body. The blue and white decoration with fishes on the bowl is rare, very decorative and excellently done. Excellent deep Cobalt blue.

Condition : A very very minute fritting to the rim, otherwise in an superb condition.
