A large kitchen storage jar that was made in North Korea. The Jar is an example of Korean folk art, and it has hand painted blue and green designs on a white base. There is brown staining to the exterior and interior surfaces, where the contents (probably soy sauce) bleed into the stoneware. There are two side handles for carrying. The jar measures about 16" high x 12" in diameter, and dates to the late Chosen Dynasty. The condition is very good with just the storage stains on the body and slight wear to the foot and mouth. Offered for pick-up or delivery.
