George Twok Aden Ahgupuk, 1911-2002, active between 1934-2001, An important Native American artist ,Pen and Ink drawing on Reindeer Skin, circa 1970, framed size 8 3/4" X 10 3/4", mat opening 3 1/2" X 5 1/2". The artist was known for naive Inupiat and Animal subjects. His works are in numerous museums including The Alaska State Museum, The Anchorage Museum of History & Art, The California Academy of Sciences, The Indian Arts and Crafts Board, The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum (Oklahoma City, OK.), The Seattle Museum of History & Industry, The Riverside Municipal Museum of California and The University of Alaska Museum (Fairbanks).
