Meigi Period (1868-1912) Ginbari (Silver Foil under the glaze) Cloisonne, Japanese Footed Tray with rounded corners. The Silver Foil under the enamel creates the iridescent effect.
The decoration consists of Butterflies, Water Lillies, Iris and what appears to be a Bat. There are several areas of foil work including Turquoise, Blue, Green, Purple and specks of Gold.
