This chest exemplifies practical portability which was its primary purpose. Used by British military officers, wealthy individuals on safari and London flat owners short on space, these chests were produced from the Late 18th Century through the Early part of the 20th Century. They were made in England, India and East Asia for use around the globe. Still practical, these chests are in demand today.
