Framed Chinese 17th century Ming dynasty Imperial dragon robe fragment. This greenish yellow ground five claws dragon fragment is the shoulder to chest part of a dragon robe and needs to combine with another pieces in order to finish a whole robe. The horns and eyebrows seem to be missing but is meant to leave space, visually form the eyebrows and the horns by the surrounding patterns and colors. The spear like eyebrows, up but backward hair style and the powerful wheel like claws are the features of Ming dragons. The color of the ground, green, is also normally use in the robe during late Ming dynasty. Dimensions: 80 x 65 cm without frame, 100 x 85 cm with frame. Condition: no repair, loose thread and covered and a few missing threads, overall in good condition as shown. Shipping from Taipei, Taiwan via EMS at actual cost.
