Featuring an outstanding pair of Chinese women musician elephant ivory carvings dating to the late 19th century.Fresh from a fine collection/estate where they were enjoyed and well cared for over many years. The fine detail in the seated figures is evident in their facial features, hair, flowing robes,cords, etc. The stands are inlaid with silver wires. The statues have been glued to the stand by the former owner. The carvings measure approximately 7" high x 2.5" deep x 2.5" wide. Date to the late 19th century but could be a bit older or latter, hard to tell. Just beautiful! Excellent condition with no damages or restorations. There is a no harm age crack around the neck of one of the ladies, see photo.
