 Sold, thank you.
A stunning antique Japanese gold and black lacquer large bowl. Circa 1920. Companion piece to Japanese mirror and box for mirror. The bowl was part of mirror set and was made to be used as a wash basin bowl for the Japanese market, but it could be used for just about anything for serving food, but, is also very decorative for an accent piece, as is the mirror. Both, very decorative. Hand made/painted in Japan. Bowl measures 13" across from handle to handle. Opening is 9" across and the bowl is 4" deep. Height with foot is 9.5" high. Condition: Some slight separation of the lacquer where the handles attach to the bowl but they are secure. A small chip on one of the handles.Otherwise, excellent condition and displays well. Postage/insurance extra. Return privilege providing item returned shortly after having been received, in sent condition and the way it was packed. NY state buyer pays sales tax unless valid sales tax number and signed NY state sales tax form provided.
