A fine and unique Royal Vienna gold encrusted cobalt blue demitasse cup and saucer. Most unusual scene of beautiful classical woman with two cherubs, one holding telegraph that the woman is tapping, and the other with ear phones, probably made as a commemorative piece for the invention of the telegraph around the turn of the 20th century. Much gilding, gold designs, and raised gold dots. Interior of cup with almost all gilding. Scene is artist signed "Hauser". The underside of the cup and saucer is signed "Made in Austria", "Telegraphie" and the blue under glaze bee hive mark for the Royal Vienna porcelain company. Cup measures 1 5/8" in diameter x 2" high. Saucer measures 3 7/8" in diameter. Mint condition. No repairs, damages, hairline cracks or restorations. Return privilege providing item returned within a short time of having received it and in sent condition and the way it was wrapped and sent. Postage/insurance extra.
