Very unusual small enameled dish with Japanese costumed Kabuki dancer or Samurai, all hand enameled with good shading/detail,and inlaid gold designs in robe, sword and chop mark. English hallmarks stamped on footed underside with makers mark c & c, a date mark L,(1926), another mark that is obliterated, and another which may be an English import mark for sterling. Enameling may or may not have been done in England. Very rare and interesting little collector's piece. In the shape of a Japanese ceremonial sake cup. Measures 3 1/8" in diameter and about 1/2" high. In excellent condition. Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition within 3 days of having received it. Postage/insurance extra. Sales tax collected if sold in New York state unless valid tax number and resale form provided.
