 Sold, thank you!
Featuring a fine Japanese pipe with silver mounts on either end and bamboo in the middle. The mouth piece appears to be copper or mixed metal and below that there is great work with a dragon in clouds and inlaid mixed metal eyes. The bamboo piece has painted designs in black to look like clouds. Not sure of the technique in painting this, maybe ink. The pipe piece also has a design tooled into it, probably relating to the dragon motif. There is a hallmark on both metal pieces(see photo of one). I assume these pieces are silver, or a silver alloy, but do not want to clean them as it may harm the metal/patina. This pipe dates to the Meiji era and is very good quality. Measures 8"long. In excellent condition with just a small split in the bamboo(see photo), hardly noticeable. Return privilege providing item returned within 3 days of having receive it and in sent condition. Postage/insurance extra. Sales tax collected if sold in NY state unless valid tax number and resale form provided.
