This is a Northern Song dynasty small russet black glazed henan splash bowl. It stand on a short recessed footrim and then the body everted upwards into a U-shaped with the mouth rim slightly everted inwards. The body of the small bowl is sturdily potted with a few splashed in the centre of the bowl and strips on the cavetto. On the outside body of the bowl, it has strips running from the top to bottom. The glaze on the body just flow down about three quarters of the body exposing the buff cream colour of the body.

Generally the small russet blakc glazed small bowl is in good condition. There is no repair, restoration, glaze fritting, chip or crack. There are minute pinholes.

The measurement of the stripped small russet black glazed bow: the diameter is 9.9 cm and the height is 4.3cm.
