This is a Northern Song - Jin dynasty cizhou sancai dish with incised lotus design, with green and brown colour enamel. It stands on a short foot rim and then everted into a u-shaped body. The lotus is painted with a shade of brown colour on the inner side and the outer side a dark cream colour. The lotus leaf is painted in green colour with brown shading on the inner side. The design is surrounded within two circles, with the outer ring painted in green colour. Oxidation has given the buff colour dish a ting of pinkish bloom to the ground colour.
