Two pieces of very nice and symbolic shard from the Ming dynasty. The first shard to the left, has a coin design in the centre of the bowl with the lotus lappet surrounding it. The second shard, to the right, shows a lotus flower in full bloom. The lotus is considered a scared flower to the buddhist - a symbol of purity and perfection. In general it is a symbol of summer and fruitfullness. So both shard has a very symbolic meaning to it.

Condition as shown in the photographs.

The dimension of the shard: the first with coin design in the centre is about 9cm and the one with the lotus flower design is about 9.9cm.
