Flow Blue oval porcelain covered tureen a with a footed base and the lid with a loop handle with a crisscrossed detail, decorated with a floral and draped leaf motif in a dark blue on a white ground, two small hairline cracks near the handle and two small chips on inside of the lid. The interior bowl has a medallion of a floral basket that is surrounded by a repeating diaper pattern, and a wide border with a floral design. On the lid is a mark with a blue circle with a dot. This Jar is so expressively painted, and is telling a story with these wonderful figures in a parade around the body. The figures are all well painted, and two male figures with raised legs carrying these colorful banners are leading the parade, the next two figures are carrying signs with calligraphy, my favorite figure wearing a long orange robe riding a pink and green temple lion, while the pair of figures in the back one is carrying a canopy and the other a vase. The lid is wood. Age: Late 19th /Early 20th Century – Size: 5” high

This magnificent vase with graceful and elegant lines has an squat ovoid body with a long neck with a curved handle that ends in a stylized serpent’s head, the curved an undulating rim of the mouth. The high gloss glaze is superbly executed in a gradation of brown to yellow. The S symbol signifies that the glaze is standard. The decoration on the body has large leaves with a floral motif and beautiful bird. The Rookwood symbol dates it to circa 1893. The Rose Medallion shrimp dish is finely painted in a rich enamel, pink, with accents in yellow and various shades of green and blue, with alternating panels of Mandarin figures and a floral motif. The wide border is with fruit, floral and butterflies design. Condition: a few chips of enamel are missing and two small chips on the border. Age: 1820-1850 - Size: 9-1/2” x 10” (24.13 x 25.4 cm) This bowl is unmarked which is an indication of its age. In the United States the McKinley Tariff Act was passed in 1890 and all Chinese Export porcelain had to be marked China until 1915 when it was marked made in China.

The Republic Period heavily potted vase with an ovoid body that tapers into a flared foot is decorated overall with a bold prunus decoration on a cobalt blue enamel ground with an off white crackle ground for the neck and foot. The rounded foot has two blue double rings as well as the neck with heavy dark vertical lines.
