These exquisitely woven panels are with metallic gold threads used for the background and multicolor wrap threads throughout. The panel on the right is depicting a tree laden with peaches “ fruit of longevity” with a long tailed bird possibly a phoenix perched on a taihu garden rock in the foreground are a pair of egrets and a crane in flight. The panel on the left is a tree laden with pomegranates which is an auspicious symbolic “hope of having many children” a pheasant is perched don a taihu garden rock and in the foreground are a pair of mandarin ducks symbolic of a long and happy marriage. The panels are framed with glass on both sides so you can see both sides. The custom framing is superb and expensive, with black and gilt borders. Condition: They both are in excellent condition. Age: Late 19th /Early 20th Century - Size: 57-1/2” high x 21-1/2” wide (146.05 x 54.61 cm)
