Chief god of the underworld. Of slender form, depicted mummiform, he is wearing the atef crown, fronted with an ureas, with prominent facial details, wearing the false beard and with hands emerging from tightly fitting garment, grasping the crook and flail. 5 7/8 inches high. Mounted. Ex New Jersey collection of D.W., early 1980s.

Ancient Egyptian bronze figure of a seated deity. Possibly a provincial depiction of Harpocrates, depicted nude, wearing the Nemes headdress, fronted ureas, wearing the sidelock, seated, with arms stretched along each side and wearing a highly unusual crown. 4 3/8 inches high. With base of feet inserted into the modern base with an old collection label and inscription on the underside of the base. Appears to possibly be written in French...

Ancient Egyptian Bronze Double-Ureas. Depicts two cobras, each with a broadened hood and shows the details of each of the snake’s body. 1 1/4 inches high. Possibly a decoration of a large bronze Osiris. Late Period, 25th-26th Dynasty, 745-525 B.C. Ex. RDA private collection, acquired in NY art market in the early 1980s.

An ancient Egyptian bronze figure of Nefertum. Depicted striding on his integral base, wearing a tripartite wig, fronted with ureas, with his left foot forward, with arms along his side, wearing the lotus crown and with suspension loop behind. 3 1/4 inches high. Mounted. Said to have been purchased on the Paris art market @ 15 years ago...

A bronze Atef crown's feather. Ram's horn on bottom upon which a rearing ureas cobra is perched, with gaps probably originally containing inlays, crowned with the solar disc; the cobra flanks a large, curling ostrich plume with multiple horizontal incised lines. Height: 3-1/2" , not including base. Late Dynastic Period, ca 700 to 330 B.C.

A pair of ancient Egyptian bronze and inlaid stone eyes. Late Period, 600-300 B.C. Right eye measures 2 inches wide. Left eye measures 1 3/4 inches wide. Originally, from a NYC private collection.

Solid cast, the bronze cobra with flaring hood and bulging eyes, curved along the back of the hood, its head crowned by a solar disk, the body once inlaid, with a tenon at the base. 5 1/4 inches high including the tenon. Suspension loop on back of head. V.G. Collection Brussels, 1975.

Glazed steatite royal scarab with inscription stating "Akheperu-Re" (Amenhotep II), 18th dynasty, @ 1425 –1400. 3/4 inch. From a Florida estate collection. Said to be purchased in the early 1980s.

The long, conical shaped, tapering body with prominent horizontal bands and lug handles. Late Period, 26th-30th DYNASTY, 688-343 B.C. 6 1/4 inches high. Two small chips on top. Mounted. Some photos illuminated. Purchased on the Paris art market. Said to be from an old French collection.

An ancient Egyptian steatite scarab with the royal prenomen name Men-kheper-Re (Thutmosis III); including an adjective or descriptive phrase stating the good god + Amun (very schematic). 3/4 inch. 18th dynasty, 1479 BC to 1425 BC. From a Florida estate. Said to be purchased in the early 1980s.

An ancient Egyptian alabaster plumb-bob with suspension holes on the sides and on top. New Kingdom, 1570-1070 BC. 1 5/8 inches high. From an old NYC scholarly collection. A plumb bob is a weight, with a pointed tip on the bottom, suspended from a string and used as a vertical direction as a reference point. Plumb bobs were appreciated for their ability to furnish a true vertical line. The ancient Egyptians used plumb tools for leveling and as a way to continue distances vertically...

Ancient Egyptian alabaster fragment, depicting a male head wearing a large, striated wig, with remains of facial details. Appears to have a hand holding the head, from the back of the head. 3 inches wide X 2 1/4 high. Middle Kingdom, early 12th Dynasty, period of Amenemhat I/Sesostris I, 1938-1875 B.C. Mounted. Serpentine Horus falcon, with defined wings, beak and tail feathers. Late Period, 600-30 B.C. 1 1/4 inches high X 1 1/8 inches long. Intact. From an old French collection.

Fragmentary figure of Serapis. With thick wavy hair and thick beard. 2nd/3rd Century A.D. 3 inches high. Mounted. Old Belgian collection. Serapis was an Egyptian god whose devotees united the worship of the Apis bull and the god Osiris. His cult, which originated at Memphis, rose to its greatest significance at Alexandria during the reign of Ptolemy I.

Ancient Egyptian limestone head with thick wig and prominent facial details. With traces of original pigment. Possibly from the head on an ushabti. New Kingdom, 19th/20th Dynasty, 1292–1069 BC. 2 inches high. Mounted. Fragmentary. Ex. Oliva Tiano, Paris, said to be from an old French collection, collected in the 1960s - 1970s.
