A fine blue-green glazed faience example of the feline deity, seated on an openwork throne with depictions of the snakegod Nehebkau. Wearing a tripartite wig and holding a sistrum. Well defined facial features. Areas of cream-white surface mottled with blue-green. Intact suspension loop on the back of the head. Late Period, 600-400 B.C. 2-1/2"H. Repaired on waist. Center part of sistrum gone. Ex. Lila and Elliott Roberts collection, NYC., acquired in the 1950's.
