Holding a seated figure on its lap, possibly a figure of Ptah or Osiris, seated on its heels, against a back pillar inscribed with three vertical columns of hieroglyphs, listing the various titles of the statue's owner, who held various priestly titles connected with Sobek. Hawara in the Faiyum, 8 inches wide X 6 inches high. Late Dynastic, 26th Dynasty, circa 664-525 B.C. Ex. Bonhams, London, Ex Leighton Wilkie Collection. Acquired by Leighton Wilkie from Cairo in 1970. Purchased from Kamel Abdallah Hammouda, at the time, a licensed Antiquities merchant.
