Carved bluish-gray lapis stone amulet depicting multiple eyes of Horus having two opposing sets of eyes with a small floral motif in the center. Drilled suspension hole through the center. 1-3/8” x 1-3/16” Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. Lapis was not found in Egypt. But was thought to be imported from the ancient near eastern trade routes. New Jersey private collection, originally, ex. Moghrabi Family collection, NJ., by inheritance.
