OVERVIEW: This s a so-called Parian-type German bisque lady doll, circa 1870. She has a perfect bisque shoulderplate and a very nice antique body. She is fully dressed including dress, slip, bloomers, stockings and shoes. Layaway is always an option but please contact me prior to purchase to discuss terms. Here are the details:
HEAD: Her bisque shoulderhead is perfect with no damage or repairs. She has a fancy hair style with braid and black band, and her bodice is decorated with a molded scarf. Her hair is styled with two rows of puffed curls surrounding her face, surmounted by a braid across the top. She also has a twist at the nape of her neck, which is held in place with a molded black band. Her molded scarf is lacy with a ruffled edge. Her ears are pierced into her head and she wears antique earrings. Examination: there is some very slight rubbing.
BODY: Her antique cloth body is stitch-jointed with stitched toes. Her leather arms have individually stitched fingers. She has a heavy butt and can sit easily. The body is in excellent aged condition with no patching or leaking.
CLOTHES: She wears a pretty cotton print dress with tucks, piped edging, and red trim on the skirt. Underneath, she wears an antique chemise with lace trim, antique bloomers, fine antique red knit stockings and custom-made red leather slip-on shoes.
