The well potted stoneware body shouldered form, decorated with exquisite painted in underglaze-blue of become blackish tone because the material is used Chinese 'local cobalt-blue', painted with four ladies figures and each with the servant in the garden scene, each lady and attendant showing her talents with playing Gu-Qin, playing Chinese chess, painting calligraphy and writing literati poetry. The shoulder with two branch of peony flowers rising to a straight neck with slight lipped rim encircled by classic scroll band, all above border stiff leaves around abroad unglazed base. Condition is broken and re-glued without any missing pieces, except minor small chips to rim and body. Ming dynasty 15th century Xuande - Interregnum period to Chenghua.
