Silver cocktail shaker with strainer and detachable cap. Embossed decoration of a dragon and a round cartouche with monogram on a shagreen simulating ground. Base marked "Nanking", mark of the Nanking Silver Store in Shanghai. Condition: the cap with one, the foot and beaker's rim with small dents. Dimension: 26.2 cm high, diameter: 10.7 cm, weight: 406 g.

These two saddle rugs, in knotted pile, are forming a pair and were used together: the larger piece with trapezoid ends served as a saddle cloth (makden), while the smaller rug was a saddle cover (masho). Both items are in their original condition, with a red trim and backed with a coarse beige fabric. Provenance: old Swiss collection. Dimension approx.: makden: 120.5 x 67 cm, masho: 82.5 x 66 cm. Condition: signs of age and wear, rims with partial discoloration, faded.

A beautiful pair of genuine arm cuff bracelets worn by the women of the Turkmen Tekke tribe. They are made of silver with gilding and set with carnelian cut with flat top. A quite large mother of pearl shell carving, the pierced decoration is showing the deity Magu among birds and flowers. Condition: the rim with a short crack, without stand. Dimension: c. 20.5 cm long x 17.6 cm high.

Octagonal shaped miniature qur'an container with hinged and slightly convex lid. Two sides with a metal loop for the attachment to the arm. The lid and the sides decorated with verses from the qur'an. Condition: good. Dimension: 4.9 cm x 4.9 cm, 1.4 cm high, weight: 26 g.

A Sgaw Karen woman's tunic embroidered with yellow, red and white yarn, accentuated with Job's tears seeds. Condition: few loose threads, clean. Dimension: c. 62.5 x 68 cm. A large thumb ring decorated in openwork with Chinese auspicious characters, originally worked in two parts. The inner ring with Chinese maker's mark. Condition: please look at the photos carefully. Dimension: diamater: c. 3.3 cm, 2.8 cm high, weight: 32 g.

A fine Chinese snuff bottle made from Carnelian, well hollowed. One side carved in relief with a bird on a rock beneath a bat, the backside engraved with a ruyi scepter. The stopper is made from white jadeit with a green spot and a bone spoon. Condition: the stopper eventually not original, traces of usage. Dimension: c. 6.2 cm high.

An interesting gunpowder horn dating to the 19th / early 20th century. The slightly curved body is made from water buffalo horn, carved with different motifs as tendrils, fisch scales and Singa masks. The suspension area and the closing mechanism with Singa head, the wide end with a wooden stopper. The gunpowder was stored in the Batak house in large gourds, the chief carried his own personal supply in such containers like this one, which he wore suspended from a chain around his neck...

A wooden spoon for sherbet, soup or rice made in two parts. Carved from light wood, the handle with inscriptions in ink under a varnish. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: 27.6 cm long.

An Iranian papier-mache box with polychrome and gold decoration under a lacquered varnish. The domed lid painted with a young couple embracing, the six sides with mihrab shaped cartouches, showing figures or flowers. Condition: particularly rims with little wear and laquer losses. Dimension: 9.6 cm long x 6.6 cm high.

Two large unmounted vintage photographs dating from around 1910 in Burma (British India), taken by a Burmese photographer (one with superimposed inscription: Ma Tok Mandalay). Showing young lavishly costumed dancers on an outdoor stage, one taking with two elephants. Condition: one print with two small tears, both little creased. Dimension: 21.2 cm x 28.7 cm.

A well-hollowed Chinese snuff bottle carved from bright celadon jade. The stopper is made from a green stone with a bone spoon. The bottle needs standing help. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: c. 6.7 cm high.

A pair of shoes with leather sole for a Manchurian lady. The cream colored silk embroidered and appliqued with black silk. Blue cotton lining. The toecap bolstered with leather. Condition: little patina. Dimension: 24.5 cm long.

A rare Tausug sash made in tapestry weaving, raw silk with geometric pattern and zigzag design from the Sulu Archipelago near Mindanao in the Philippines. Provenance: old Swiss collection. Condition: faded, one narrow side maybe little shortened, patina, stained, discolored, few small thin areas and one selvage with small fraying. Dimension approx.: 36 cm x 275 cm.
