Cylindrical container made of brass with a domed cover and decorated base both close fitting. With engraved decoration in horizontal bands, the widest with eight medallions each containing a figure at leisure. Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. Dimension: 7.5 cm high, diameter: 4.2 cm, weight: 80 g.

A hanging lamp of rounded form with lower domed section, decorated with engraved panels of persons, beasts and calligraphy between swirling pierced flowers. Condition: rim with small restored area, few tiny dents. Dimension: burner: c. 23.8 cm high, diameter: c. 14.2 cm, total height: c. 45 cm.

A spherical Sumatran lime box beautifully cast in bronze or brass with patina, decoration showing stylized lotus pod bud. Betel nut chewing accessory, the interior with lime residue, two piercings. A Thai cast bronze figure of the crowned Buddha Shakyamuni, with serene facial features, holding his hands in dhyana mudra. Condition: no base, later added core material. Dimension: 16.4 cm high x 9.6 cm wide x 4.1 cm deep.

A small stoneware figurine with crackled celadon glaze, showing a kneeling mother holding her baby at the breast. Dating to the 14th to mid 16th century. Three Chinese snuff bottles made of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue, one with little underglaze red accentuations. The small one decorated with fishes among seaweed, the stopper made of jade-imitating glass. The cylindrical bottles painted with a court scene or deers in a landscape, the stoppers made of tiger eye stone. All have bone spoons...

A pair joss-stick holders with Buddhist lions standing on a leave-shaped base and a single one with wooden stand. Made of biscuit porcelain and glazed in the "sancai" palette. Dating to the Kangxi period (1662-1722). Condition: the balls of the male lions are lost, both with small restorations, the bulging eyes of the beasts with glue residues, one lion with small flake on the tail. Dimension: pair height: c. 10.1 cm, single one: c. 15.5 cm high.

A set of three finely executed paintings in gouache and ink, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing different plants and butterflies. Mounted in later red lacquered wooden frames. Dimension: paintings: c. 23.5 cm x 17.3 cm, frames: c. 29.1 cm x 35.4 cm. Condition: fine, frames with some wear. Three Chinese Export flat plates from the Kangxi period. Decorated with the "100 antiques" motif in the Imari palette and gold. The rim in underglaze dark brown. Condition: minor wear to gold. Two plates with few tiny rim frits and flakes and with total 3 rim chips (see picture 10). Dimension: diameter: 22.5 cm.

Three antique hexagonal Chinese silver cups decorated with figures, bamboo and plum twigs. Base marked "KC" and Chinese characters (according to Adrien von Ferscht: a silversmith active 1825-1900 in Canton). Two with original glass inserts. Dimension: c. 4.3 cm wide x 3.5 cm high, weight silver: 74 g. Condition: one glass insert lost, the other ones with small rim chips.

An original Japanese color woodblock print by the artist Utagawa Toyokuni I (1769-1825), in vertical oban size. Depicting two women with a boy drying and beating Cloth on the river banks. Signed "Toyokuni ga", censor "kiwame". Condition: good color and impression, some small wormholes, backed, creased and soiled, laid down at upper corners. Dimension: 36.1 cm x 24.6 cm.

Jewelry for the headdress of a Turkmen unmarried woman, made of silver and set with red glass cabochons. These domed finals were fixed on the girl's cap called "Tjubetejka", according to Schletzer decorated with a bird's feather meant the young woman was affianced. From an old Swiss collection. Cf.
