A fine applique panel mounted on gold foil, embroidered in tiny Peking knot and gold thread. Showing a big cat in a landscape, in an old European frame with antique finish. Condition: little faded. Dimension total: 27 cm x 19.5 cm.

A large silver tray of oval form with applied scrolling handles. The sloping sides of the salver with repousse decoration in the Turkish baroque style. Tughra and two other marks to either end of the tray, each handle with two hallmarks. Condition: traces of usage, the sides with two short cracks, one old repair with crack near the attachment of one handle (pic. 9). Dimension total: 41.5 cm long x 26.7 cm wide, weight: 760 g.

A beautiful pair of genuine arm cuff bracelets worn by the women of the Turkmen Tekke tribe. They are made of silver with gilding and set with carnelian cut with flat top. Jewelry for the headdress of a Turkmen unmarried woman, made of silver and set with red glass cabochons. These domed finals were fixed on the girl's cap called "Tjubetejka", according to Schletzer decorated with a bird's feather meant the young woman was affianced. From an old Swiss collection. Cf. Three rectangular differently sized and slightly convex silver plaques with floral decoration in blue enamel. Attached to a traditional silk and gold thread cord with adjustable sliding knot. Two double pages printed in woodblock technique on thin paper. The first depicting a blue bird on a lychee plant from the "Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting", Jieziyuan huazhuan, published in 1679 by Wang Gai. The second showing a bird on a fruiting branch, from the "Ten Bamboo Studio Manual of Calligraphy and Painting", Shizhuzai shuhua pu, published by Hu Zhengyan in the early 17th century. A round tray cover made of glazed cotton lavishly block-printed and dyed, produced in Isfahan in the 19th century. Centrally a blossom surrounded by rows of boteh, meandering flowers, cartouches with Arabic inscriptions etc. Qalamkar textiles were especially popular in Persia, often imported from India (here called Kalamkari). An album page in woodblock print technique probably from the "Ehon Matsu no Shirabe", showing a young beautiful lady standing near a small river. Condition: faded, creased, thin area, one worm hole, reverse with tapes. Dimension: 23.6 cm x 17.1 cm.

An oval brass seal and a square carnelian or glass seal, each with silver mount. The faces engraved with Arabic inscriptions, one dated. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: 1.6 cm long, 1.9 cm and 2.9 cm high (with loop).

An amethyst snuff bottle in pebble shape, the outside carved in relief with birds among twigs. Moderately hollowed. The stopper en suite, in the form of a bird, spoon made of bone. Condition: few rough areas and tiny chips. Dimension: 7.2 cm high.

Porcelain wall pocket modelled as a recumbent court official, decorated in famille rose enamels. Condition: excellent. Dimension: 17.4 cm long x 6.8 cm high, weight: 342 g.

The basic fabric is a linen weave with black stripes. The ends are embroidered with a striped camel carrying a coffin to Mecca, in polychrome threads and decorated with fold silvered metal. Composite panel of antique embroideries from the Ottoman Empire, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and metal wrapped threads, composed and sewn together in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. A rare Kashmir teapot with hinged lid standing on three small feet. The metal base, here copper or bronze, was first engraved with special tools to create the design in relief, the grooves were later filled with glass and then embellished with additional engraving and shiny gilding. This technique is called in India "meena" or "meenakari" and was first applied by the Mughal. With a small handwritten note explaining its provenance. Dimension: 20.8 cm long, 14 cm high, weight: 688 g.

Silver cocktail shaker with strainer and detachable cap. Embossed decoration of a dragon and a round cartouche with monogram on a shagreen simulating ground. Base marked "Nanking", mark of the Nanking Silver Store in Shanghai. Condition: the cap with one, the foot and beaker's rim with small dents. Dimension: 26.2 cm high, diameter: 10.7 cm, weight: 406 g.

An antique walking cane or parasol handle. Made of silver decorated with two dragons chasing the flaming pearl among clouds. Top with monogram. Unmarked, tested silver. Condition: top slightly dented. Dimension: total length: 30.6 cm.

A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. Design of ho-o birds among clouds on a green speckled ground. The shoulder with flowers on a black spiral ground. Bottom, rim and wires are gilt. With wood stand. Condition: rim with a small dent (see picture No. 6). Small area with only under the magnifying glass visible imperfections. Dimension: 12.1 cm high. Same shape and close design to item# 1174589.

Influenced by the Chinese Transitional porcelain this dish shows in the center a bridge with a farmer and two cows. On the back a single spur mark. Condition: fine, little wear, foot rim with a small loss (production flaw). Dimension: diameter: 21.3 cm, weight: 396 g. Without wooden stand.

A long woman's coat, made of salmon-colored silk, with woven rows of polychrome flower bouquets. Front and back made of one panel of fabric, therefore the pattern being upside-down at the back. A punch dagger with tapering double edged steel blade, each face decorated with a four-armed deity. Straight handle with double-grip, decorated on the side with flowers. Sheath made of wood with velvet lining. Condition: tip slightly chipped, sheath with losses. Some flash rust. Dimension: 44.6 cm long, 7.4 cm wide.
