A fine snuff tobacco container made of a dried, double gourd, decorated with gilt silver mounts and inset with carnelian and tiny blue and white cabochons. The ram horn-shapped stopper is attached to an elaborate silver chain. These tobacco containers were used by the Turkman tribes. Condition: fine, few traces of usage. Dimension: c. 14.8 cm long, Diameter: c. 6.2 cm.

An expressive small figure of the long-haired Gama Sennin dressed in a leaf apron, standing on a plinth, with a small toad. Carved from boxwood, the eyes of the immortal are inset in glass. Unsigned. Condition: back with a large and few smaller age cracks (top of the head, arm sleeve), few tiny rim chips. Dimension: c. 15.5 cm high.

A pair small cloisonné enamel vases with roundels containing flowers or butterflies amidst spiral shaped wire ground, some highlights in goldstone. Gilt wires, rim and base. Signed "Takahara". Condition: fine. Dimension: c. 9.8 cm high.

A quite large mother of pearl shell carving, the pierced decoration is showing the deity Magu among birds and flowers. Condition: the rim with a short crack, without stand. Dimension: c. 20.5 cm long x 17.6 cm high.

Three Chinese snuff bottles made of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue, one with little underglaze red accentuations. The small one decorated with fishes among seaweed, the stopper made of jade-imitating glass. The cylindrical bottles painted with a court scene or deers in a landscape, the stoppers made of tiger eye stone. All have bone spoons...

A cast bronze cattle bell decorated with a kind of garland. Dating to the Eastern Javanese Period. For a similar bell please refer to: "Indo-Javanese Metalwork" by Linden-Museum Stuttgart, no. 205. Provenance: Private Collection, Switzerland. Condition: clapper is missing, patina. Dimension: 10.3 cm high x 12 cm long x 8.6 cm deep.

A mask of a grimacing old man, carved of light wood, maybe hinoki, with gesso and polychrome pigments, inset with gray horse mane hair. The inside with brown lacquer and residue of two old paper labels. Condition: pigment and hair losses, old color mends. Dimension: 18 cm high x 14 cm wide.

A round, convex shield with four central bosses. Decorated with raised design of tendrils, embellished with black and red enamel, and some tin plated areas. Reverse with four attaching bronze rings and a velvet pad. Compare with a similar shield in the Royal Ontario museum. Condition: few losses to enamel and wear to tinned areas, reverse with some residue of solder. Dimension: diameter: 28 cm.

An erotic scene of a young couple in a fan-shaped cartouche, painted in ink and colors on silk. The paper folder labeled "August". Condition: bottom corners creased, folder with few tears. Dimension painting: 27.2 cm x 33.6 cm

A carved female mask netsuke showing Okame. Unsigned. Back partially covered with black lacquer. Provenance: a gentleman's collection, Geneva - Switzerland. Condition: few tiny rim chips. Dimension: 4.1 cm x 3.6 cm.

A round shaped silver lingam box (ayigalu or shivadhara) with its original chain. A neck amulet once worn by a wealthier lay member of the Lingayat sect in South India. Markings. Here without jangama lingam. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: amulet: c. 6 cm wide x 4.1 cm high, chain: total length: 54 cm, weight total: 97 g.

A beautifully shaped cloisonné enamel incense burner with roundels containing flowers or butterflies amidst spiral shaped wire ground. Gilt wires, rim and base. Condition: fine, partial little wear to gilding. Dimension: c. 12.3 cm high.

Composite panel of antique embroideries from the Ottoman Empire, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and metal wrapped threads, composed and sewn together in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. Six antique bronze opium weights from Burma. The lion-dogs are standing on an octagonal base. The four largest ones having a verification mark in front of the base. Nice patina, the smallest weight with greenish patina might be a different alloy. Weights approx.: 300 g (20 tical), 155 g (10 tical), 146 g (10 tical), 73 g (5 tical), 31 g (2 tical) and 16 g (1 tical). Dimension: largest: 5.9 cm high. Condition: nice patina, traces of age.

A set of five Chinese export silver serving pieces with beautiful pierced bamboo design. Each flatware with French import mark of a swan. Condition: traces of usage. The trowel's handle probably with a restaured area. Dimension: largest piece: c. 20.2 cm long and 6.6 cm wide. Total weight: 222 g.

An original Japanese color woodblock print by the artist Keisai Eisen (1791-1848), in oban yoko-e size. Depicting two women walking in the snow along the Sumida river. Condition: very good impression, still good colors, centerfold, lower rim with few small wormholes, slightly soiled, laid down at upper corners in matt. Dimension: 23.8 cm x 37.8 cm.

A brass kettle once used by the wealthy Malay to serve drinking water during weddings or festivals or it may have also been used to store water for washing the right hand after eating. Often produced by the Minangkabau brass or bronze casters of Western Sumatra. Movable handle. Condition: traces of usage, handle with remains of soldering. Three Chinese Export flat plates from the Kangxi period. Decorated with the "100 antiques" motif in the Imari palette and gold. The rim in underglaze dark brown. Condition: minor wear to gold.
