Four wonderfully executed oval Indian paintings of Mughal rulers in gouache and gold on paper. Framed behind glass in a gilt wooden frame, in France in the 19th century. The passe-partout with handwritten titles as: "Shah Ichan" (Jahan?), "Shah Alum" (Alam), "Azime Shah" and "Miran Shah". Reverses with the label of the framer. Condition: the frames with traces of usage and age and small losses, one frame damaged. Dimension: portraits: c. 9.5 x 7.5 cm, frames: 24 x 20 cm.

Antique Chinese silver fish set for 12 persons, with twelve forks and twelve knives. All handles with decoration of small Chinese figures among pagodas and a shield-shaped cartouche with monogram "S", the silver tines and blades engraved. Unmarked. Condition: traces of usage, tines partially little distorted, tips of seven blades chipped. Dimension: fork: length: c. 18.2 cm, knife: length: c. 21 cm. Total weight: 1110 g.

A pierced fragment of an antique Tibetan or Nepalese torana, worked in copper repousse with remains of gilding and colors. Showing a caparisoned elephant with a snow lion on his back, lifting a deity riding on the mythical beast "sharabha". Condition: wear to gilding, slightly warped. Dimension: 36.5 cm high x 15 cm widw x 2.5 cm deep.

A pair small Chinese porcelain jars with lids, each decorated with two foo dogs among peony flowers and scrolls in the "wucai" palette with underglaze blue. Bases without glaze. Rare to find a pair with matching lids and with so fresh colors. Including two later reticulated wooden stands. Dimension with lid: 14.3 cm high, on stand: 17.3 cm high. A disc-shaped cast bronze gong with a central boss, coated with black lacquer and gilt decoration. Showing four Buddhist celestial beings, a pair praying "Thepanom" and two hybrid "Norasingha" creatures among the Thai flame motif "lai kranok". These elaborately decorated percussion instruments, once supported by a frame and hit with a mallet, were often presented as gifts for special occasions. Upside with two pierced suspension holes...

Four finely carved wooden (maybe sandalwood) masks with lacquering and most with glass bead eyes. Showing different types of theatre masks as Hannya, Oni etc. Condition: minor rim frits, the Hannya mask with few lacquer losses. Dimension: c. 5.1 cm long x c. 3.5 cm wide.

These two saddle rugs, in knotted pile, are forming a pair and were used together: the larger piece with trapezoid ends served as a saddle cloth (makden), while the smaller rug was a saddle cover (masho). Both items are in their original condition, with a red trim and backed with a coarse beige fabric. Provenance: old Swiss collection. Dimension approx.: makden: 120.5 x 67 cm, masho: 82.5 x 66 cm. Condition: signs of age and wear, rims with partial discoloration, faded.

A complete Tausug raw silk sash (kandit) with long fringes. Tapestry weaving with geometric and zigzag design from the Sulu Archipelago near Mindanao in the Philippines. Provenance: old Swiss collection. Condition: slightly faded, patina, little staining, a small thin area. Dimension approx.: 36.3 cm x 355 cm (with fringes).

A Chinese court "chao fu" silk skirt, altered as a Carnival costume, using one quarter of the skirt as a flap (photo No. 6). Night blue silk with sixteen dragon roundels and four five-clawed "long" dragons pursuing the flaming pearl among clouds, bats and cranes, above waves, stylized rocks and the "lishui" pattern. An antique vertical wall hanging made of velvet, partially cut and painted with ink and colors. Beautiful depiction of a watermill in a grove with two peasants. Original brocade border and printed cotton lining with hanging loops. Signed and sealed in the lower left corner. Condition: fine, scarce stained, partially faded, few traces of age. Dimension with border: c. 198 cm x 146 cm.

A rare Burmese book with paper (made from mulberry tree bark) pages, the front and back covers with lacquer relief decoration with small inset glass spangles. The central panels showing the title of the book in Burmese script. Approximately 280 pages, handwritten in black Burmese script, edges gilt. Condition: covers are dusty (one is dirty) and with some wear, some corners with small losses. Pages with few stains, but wormholes. Dimension: 39.4 x 17.6 x 9.5 cm, weight: 2.4 kg.

A rare Japanese okimono depicting the seated bodhisattva of compassion with serene facial expression. Made of bright bronze alloy, maybe shibuichi, and fine inlays in silver, gold and enamel. The base with signature. Condition: no damage, few traces of wear. Dimension: 11.1 cm high, weight: 572 g.

A pair of framed oval miniature Chinese School export oil paintings, each showing a Chinese boat at sea. Mounted in antique gilt wooden frames. Condition: fine, frames with Little wear. Dimension: paintings: 8.3 cm x 6.5 cm, frames: 25 cm x 22 cm.

A wonderful woman's wedding hip wrapper made of cotton with wax resist dyed decoration and gilding. The kepala is showing a peacock on a tree, the badan with two long-tailed birds among flowers. Condition: amazingly good state of the gilding, the left and right edge with some tears and few holes. The badan with a small angled tear. Maybe shortened. Dimension: c. 101.5 cm x 174 cm.

A Laotian figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, made of cast bronze with dark patina. Depicted seated in meditation on an undecorated pedestal, the right hand in bhumisparsa and the left in dhyana mudra. The curly hair is ending in the ushnisha with flame ornament, his face in the typical naive style. Condition: old small loss to the flame and one foot of the pedestal (therefore not perfectly even). Backside with some casting flaws. Dimension: c. 24.1 cm high x 12.5 cm wide x 8.5 cm deep, weight: 1800 g.

Two deep Chinese blue and white porcelain plates, identically painted in underglaze blue with two female figures in a fenced garden, the border with moulded flower panels. Dating to the early 18th century (Kangxi period 1662-1722). Condition: fine, only some rim fritting and flakes - no hairlines or restorations. Dimension: diameter: 22.2 cm, 3.5 cm high.

A rare pair of Japanese double gourd shaped porcelain vases, decorated with a ho-o bird flying over "prunus mume" in overglaze blue, green, yellow, aubergine, iron red and gold. Standing on a broad footrim, the rim with "kuchibeni". Condition: fine, only one vase with a short hairline ending in a tiny rim frit on the rear side (please see photo no. 12). Dimension: 19.3 cm high.
