Two double pages printed in woodblock technique on thin paper. The first depicting a blue bird on a lychee plant from the "Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting", Jieziyuan huazhuan, published in 1679 by Wang Gai. The second showing a bird on a fruiting branch, from the "Ten Bamboo Studio Manual of Calligraphy and Painting", Shizhuzai shuhua pu, published by Hu Zhengyan in the early 17th century. These painting manuals were very popular and reprinted many times, here 18th century editions...

A rare Japanese okimono depicting the seated bodhisattva of compassion with serene facial expression. Made of bright bronze alloy, maybe shibuichi, and fine inlays in silver, gold and enamel. The base with signature. Condition: no damage, few traces of wear. Dimension: 11.1 cm high, weight: 572 g.

An erotic scene of a young couple in a fan-shaped cartouche, painted in ink and colors on silk. The paper folder labeled "August". Condition: bottom corners creased, folder with few tears. Dimension painting: 27.2 cm x 33.6 cm

A Chinese silver shield-shaped presentation plaque engraved with good wishes, mounted to conforming hardwood shield carved at crest with stylized flower and with easel support on the back. Jewelry for the headdress of a Turkmen unmarried woman, made of silver and set with red glass cabochons. These domed finals were fixed on the girl's cap called "Tjubetejka", according to Schletzer decorated with a bird's feather meant the young woman was affianced. From an old Swiss collection. Cf. A beautiful pair of genuine arm cuff bracelets worn by the women of the Turkmen Tekke tribe. They are made of silver with gilding and set with carnelian cut with flat top. An extraordinary photo frame made of steel and decorated with flower heads and foliage in silver koftgari work, the surface covered with gilt lacquer. Condition: without glass, decoration with minimal wear and loss of lacquer. Dimension: 25.5 cm, 15.5 cm wide, weight: 364g.

Chinese canton enamel box with slightly domed lid. The sides and top finely painted with scholars in landscape setting in famille rose palette. Interior with turquoise enamel. Condition: good - considering the delicate nature of enamel, rim of box with two very small retouchings and and sides of lid with three tiny enamel losses and few stress lines. Dimension: diameter: 10.2 cm, 6 cm high.

Three Chinese Export flat plates from the Kangxi period. Decorated with the "100 antiques" motif in the Imari palette and gold. The rim in underglaze dark brown. Condition: minor wear to gold. Two plates with few tiny rim frits and flakes and with total 3 rim chips (see picture 10). Dimension: diameter: 22.5 cm.

A small copper repousse plaque from Nepal or Tibet. Showing a dancing female deity, maybe Tara, holding lotus flowers. Condition: fine. Dimension: 11.2 cm high x 8 cm wide.

Antique intricately carved sandalwood card case. Condition: fine, only few tiny rim chips - please look at pictures carefully, they make part of the condition report. Dimension: 10.2 cm x 6.8 cm x 11.3 cm.

An antique heart-shaped midnight blue satin silk pouch finely embroidered on both sides with two stylized dragons around a "shou" character in Peking knot. Cotton lining, inner rim with paper residue. Condition: few loose threads and little traces of usage. Dimension: purse: 9 cm x 9 cm.
