A large Chinese Canton enamel bowl finely painted with flowers and peaches on a ruby-red ground. The interior with turquoise, the base with white enamel. Condition: footrim with three small enamel losses, few hairlines. Good - regarding the age and delicacy of the material. Please consult the photos, they make part of the condition report. A small jar made of dark polished Yixing clay for the Thai market. The mouth with a metal sheathing. The stopper made of wood and metal. Condition: the base with a tiny chip, few traces of usage. Dimension: 12 cm high, weight: 242 g.

Three unmounted vintage albumen photographs dating from the 1880's in Burma (British India). Two depicting Sikh troops, the third British soldiers on horseback. Condition: faded, one with a 6.5 cm long tear and a surface loss, one with a small tear, wavy. Dimension: approx.: 18 cm x 26 cm.

A finely carved female mask netsuke, showing Otafuku or Okame. Unsigned. Provenance: a gentleman's collection, Geneva - Switzerland. Condition: fine. Dimension: 4.8 cm x 4.1 cm.

A small belt hook carved from pale celadon colored jade with white and grayish mottling. One side ending in a dragonhead with bulging eyes, the underside with an oval disk for attachment. Condition: one eye chipped. Dimension: 7.1 cm long, weight: 30 g.

A well carved bamboo brush pot with beautiful patina. The main side showing figures in a garden setting, the backside with two animal cartouches and a poem in Chinese characters, as well delicately engraved in French and romanized Chinese. Condition: the base reinforced with leather, some tears and cracks and tiny losses, rim with flee bites. Dimension: height: c. 15.5, diameter: 11.1 cm.

Porcelain wall pocket modelled as a recumbent court official, decorated in famille rose enamels. Condition: excellent. Dimension: 17.4 cm long x 6.8 cm high, weight: 342 g.

Small Indonesian ceremonial keris forged from steel in one piece with a straight blade, the hilt section in the shape of a sitting figure. Provenance: Private Collection, Switzerland. Condition: fine. Dimension: 24.7 cm long, 3.2 cm wide, weight: 82 g.

A walking cane or parasol handle made of silver with fine repousse and chased decoration of three ascetics and Lord Krishna playing the flute amidst cottages and trees. With a dated and inscribed cartouche in shield form, top with monogram, unmarked. Condition: one dent, short split, top slightly dented. Dimension: length: 24.3 cm.

The ground fabric of this man's garment is a light, greyish silk damask with stylized endless knot pattern. The front overlap closing is fastened with five pierced gilt metal ball buttons. Trimmed with black silk and a woven border, the straight sleeves with light blue cuffs showing the same pattern like the ground fabric...

A peepal tree leaf finely painted in ink, colour and gold, depicting two Buddhist disciples in a landscape setting. Pasted on grey cardboard, with inscription in gold and red seal on the left side. Mounted in a lotus leaf shaped frame and base, carved from hardwood. Condition: lower left corner with a stain, some traces of usage. Dimension: total height: c. 25.8 cm, 19.3 cm wide, Bodhi leaf: c. 16 x 13 cm, weight: 352 g.

A large Kashmir lidded presentation cup with handles in serpent form. Allover with foliage design. Condition: fine, traces of usage, some wear to tinning. Dimension: c. 36.5 cm high, handle to handle: c. 29.5 cm, weight: 2 kg.

Two unmounted vintage albumen photographs dating from the 1880's. One depicting a mansion probably in Mandalay, the second showing a group of young Burmese monks returning to their monastery after begging their daily food, by the Italian photographer Felice Beato (1832-1909). Condition: faded and wavy, one with a small stain. Dimension: 19.6 cm x 26.4 cm, 19.9 cm x 25.9 cm.

A finely executed painting in gouache and ink, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing a girl with lotus feet, embroidering a silk yardage. Mounted in a blue passe-partout. Dimension: painting: 23.5 cm x 17.3 cm, paper: 38.8 cm x 30.5 cm. Condition: fine, only one tiny stain. Please see also SK 988.

Finely potted porcelain dish with milky white glaze, the broad border moulded with ruyi heads. The center with fine depiction of a kirin, painted in green enamel, iron red and some gold. Please refer to: "Kakiemon Porcelain - A Handbook" by Menno Fitski, No. 126. Condition: little wear to painted area, base with a star crack, rim with a short hairline and a firing default. Dimension: diameter: 14.8 cm, 3.1 cm high.

A lidded Japanese Imari porcelain vase, finely painted with landscape cartouches and Ho-o birds among brocade pattern and peonies. With 19th century French bronze mountings, the pedestal composed of four nicely modelled elephant heads and heart shaped bordure, which is repeating on the rim ring. Condition: fine, only cover inside with a tiny rim chip (see picture no. 8). Dimension: total height: 31.8 cm.
