A large betel-box "kun it" with one internal tray, made of woven and coiled split bamboo covered with lacquer. The slightly domed lid and the drum with yun decoration of king and court scenes and several inscriptions. The interiors with plain cinnabar red lacquer. Condition: traces of usage, some age cracks and wear, rim and lacquer losses, lid with a damaged area. Dimension: diameter: c. 23 cm, 21.3 cm high. Provenance: Swiss collection.

A Chinese silk cap with the face of a tiger on the front. The upper part of the hat is stiff with five corners ending in tassels. Silk lining. Condition: faded, lost tassels, missing threads and small losses to fabric. Dimension: c. 25 cm x 25 cm, 29 cm high. Without hat stand.

A "töla gasa" ceremonial bracelet of the Nias people made from "tridacna gigas" (giant clam shell). For a similar example please visit the website of the "Musée Quai Branly" in Paris. Provenance: Private Collection, Switzerland. Condition: rims with chips. Dimension: c. 7.1 cm high, diameter: c. 9.2 cm, weight: 454 g.

Antique hardwood tray for serving betel or opium paraphenalia, with metal-banded corners (paktong) and finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl, the sides and skirt with scenes of figures in landscapes and other motifs. Condition: one larger loss to mother-of-pearl inlays (please see last photo) and few tiny ones. Dimension: 30.8 x 18 x 10.7 cm, weight: 1.3 kg.

Composite panel of antique embroideries from the Ottoman Empire, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and metal wrapped threads, composed and sewn together in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala. A Chinese erotic painting from an album. Showing a couple in a room amidst scholar objects. Finely painted in ink, gouache and gold on paper, with light blue silk border. Dimension: c. 25.8 x 24 cm. Condition: traces of age and former mounting, slightly stained.

Carmine red silk ground fabric with star lattice pattern in silver and gold paper wrapped threads, using the songket supplementary weft technique. Maybe a ceremonial shoulder cloth (kain selendang). Provenance: old Swiss collection. Condition: wear to the metallic twine, only partially preserved. Holes, wear, one rim with loss. Dimension: 133 cm x 53.2 cm.

A small Kutani porcelain pitcher beautifully painted in Mokubei style with two cartouches containing a mountainous landscape and a group of rakan among karakusa pattern. Base signed Kutani. Condition: little wear to enamels and gold, spout with a short firing crack (3 mm please see photo no. 9). Dimension: 9.5 cm high.

An antique Japanese manju sagemono carved from a stag antler rose. The top showing attributes of the Seven Lucky Gods, the bottom with leaves. Nice patina, the green silk cord is replaced, due of the material the rim section is partially not even. Condition: traces of age. Dimension: diameter: c. 4.6 cm, c. 1.8 cm wide.

A pair of shoes with leather sole for a Manchurian woman or girl. The cream colored silk embroidered with polychrome silk and couched gold thread depicting birds in a lotus pond. The forward section decorated with ruyi head shaped velvet. Blue cotton lining. Condition: patina, few loose and missing threads, two not embroidered areas with splits. Dimension: 16 cm long, weight: 194 g.

A rare Japanese okimono depicting the seated bodhisattva of compassion with serene facial expression. Made of bright bronze alloy, maybe shibuichi, and fine inlays in silver, gold and enamel. The base with signature. Condition: no damage, few traces of wear. Dimension: 11.1 cm high, weight: 572 g.

Rectangular photo or picture frame with carved sandalwood top. Decorated with Sadeli micro mosaic in bone, metal and different woods. Old glass. Condition: very few missing inlays, one clip lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm x 14.8 cm, image: 15.8 cm x 10.1 cm.

An assemblage of a figural Baluchari silk sari end panel fragment, showing two nobles on a strange vehicle, dating around 1800. Edged with a yellow Kashmiri or Persian wool shawl fragment, embroidered with boteh pattern. Once framed and possibly sold as souvenir. Mounted on cardboard. Condition: faded, some losses and stains. Dimension total: 25.4 x 20.2 cm.

A silver milk jug with coriander-leaf design and a cartouche in shield form, probably from Kutch. Unmarked, tested silver. Condition: small area with no design (photo no. 7), handle slightly bent. Dimension: 8.8 cm high, weight: 130 g.

A rectangular one-piece silver belt buckle, the front side decorated with birds and tendrils in niello and with gilt center. Dated with Arabic numerals corresponding to 1868. Brass brackets. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: 7.1 cm long x 5 cm wide.

A leather or skin bag with original wonderfully cast brass fittings, both ends of the chain in the form of a singha head, the mythical beast, totem for all Batak People. Shamans "datu" kept magical substances in these bags. Please compare to the "salipi" in the collection of the "Musee du Quai Branly" in Paris. Condition: wear to leather and few small holes. Dimension: leather bag: c. 30 high x 31 wide x 10.8 cm deep, chain: 2 x 44 cm long.

One Cardboard with four pasted vintage photographs from Indonesia. Two takings depicting a coffee plantation and a street, made by Woodbury and Page (blind stamp). Two albumen prints with views of Semarang. Condition: albumen prints faded and one with a loss. Cardboard browned. Dimension: cardboard: 40.2 cm x 29.9 cm, photos approx.: 18 cm x 23 cm.

Three unmounted vintage albumen photographs dating from the 1880's in Burma, British Raj. Depicting group photographs of British officers with Burmese and Indians. Condition: some fading, one with a small tear, wavy. Dimension: approx.: 18 cm x 25 cm.
