Scarce and beautiful work in two volumes on Chinese ceramics in French by J.J. Marquet de Vasselot, former curator of the Louvre Museum in Paris. First Edition bound in brown leather with marbled paper boards and endpapers. Volume 1 "De l'epoque des Han à l'epoque des Ming" with 32 pages plus 40 plates(chromolithographs and heliogravures) and volume 2 "De l'epoque K'ang-Hi à nos jours" containing 30 pages plus 44 plates. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: 22.7 cm x 20 cm.

Not complete. A very rare document on Chinese porcelain in French, published by A. Morel in 1881, first edition. Reference book with 227 pages and 30 heliogravures and chromolithographs and more than 120 illustrations in the text. Large quarto pages loose in portfolio, pages uncut. Condition: not complete, the Nos. XXXI and XXXII of the heliogravures and chromolithographs are missing, so are the text pages 113 to 120. Some foxing on pages. Dimension: c. 38 cm x 29 cm.
