A silver alloy offering vessel of oblong form, the outside repoussed with two figures of the Hindu pantheon and Nagas amidst scrolling flowers, the sides with monster masks. According to Urs Ramseyer in "The Art and Culture of Bali", these bowls were dignity symbols of the Balinese gentry, filled with betel accessories. Condition: traces of usage, few small dents.
