Daikokuten, arguably the most popular of Japan's shichifukujin (seven lucky gods), figuratively sculpted from a dense, gray-hued volcanic stone. Late-Edo Period/Meiji Era ca. 1875. Excellent condition, with only very minor old loss and slight surface pitting overall.

Height: 60.5 cm
Width: 31 cm
Depth: 34 cm

An expertly sculpted Daikokuten stone, grandly scaled and in virtually pristine condition. Outstanding.
