Hokora shrine sculpted in three pieces from granite. Mid-Edo Period ca. 1700. Very minor old loss. Significant lichen accumulation, especially on the roof.

Overall height: 31 cm
Width of roof: 37 cm
Depth of roof: 32 cm

Originally employed as a symbolic dwelling for the ancestral deity of a family or clan, this hokora is highly unusual inasmuch as it includes a removable door.

The little Jizo stone appearing in the first photo is not included.
