Standing Jizo Bosatsu, the hands bearing aloft a sacred jewel (Jp. hoju), figurally sculpted from a brick-hued igneous stone. Clearly dated on the back to the 11th year of the Kansei Era (1799), late-Edo Period. Minor old loss and desirable softening of the lines and contours overall. Variegated lichen accumulation.
