Jizo Bosatsu seated atop a semi-cuboid base, the hands holding a sacred jewel (Jp. hoju), sculpted figurally from a high-quality granite. Late-Edo Period ca. 1800. Excellent condition, with overall dried lichen accumulation of a sort and coloration, i.e., blossom-like patches in pink and pastel-green hues, frequently found on granite pieces.
