Standing Jizo Bosatsu, the hands bearing aloft a sacred jewel (Jp. hoju), sculpted in relief from a high-quality granite. Clearly dated on one side to the third year of the Jokyo imperial reign period (1686), early-Edo Period. Very minor old loss, notably to the upper tip of the overarching funagata-type mandorla, with very slight lichen accumulation.
